Overview: Amazigh are the indigenous ethnic group of North Africa west of the Nile Valley. The Amazigh-Shilha people cluster encompasses multiple people groups primarily found in Morocco. Traditionally, the term "Berber" has been used by outsiders to refer to the Amazigh, but the term "Berber" is inherently discriminatory and the endonym "Amazigh" is preferred.
